Today
The air warmed my flesh and clung to me like a hesitant butterfly.
The sun kissed the young leaves good-bye
and went hiding amongst the clouds.
The window spoke of the changing of the light
and the loudening whispers of the breeze.
The rain came down in patterned crystal waves, like the tiers of a chandelier
...gently crashing, falling, breaking upon the earth.
I breathed in the decadent wonder of the air.
I tasted the sweetness of the droplets on my skin.
I felt each tiny heavenly gift gently kiss my body.
I welcomed each miraculous entity with my lips.
Today
I danced in the rain.
